My first blog...

Yep, it took a little time but now it's ready, this is the first blog...

On this blogs I will tell about the bike projects I'm working on.

Both projects are special. One project is a 26" wheeled fixed roadracebike, the other is a 36" wheeled mountainbike. You see, a big difference in both projects. For today I will tell about the little wheeled RRB.

Fixing the Cannondale R700 '95.

About some 5 years ago, I bought my first RRB frame, a '95-er Cannondale R700. It has 26" wheels because in these days, triathlon bikes had 26" wheels. The tall frames like my 60cm (23,6") has 26" wheels too...! It's a little bit funny looking but I like these funny things so I bought the frame & fork and start collecting special parts to build on the bike. The result you see below:

One year later I bought another Cannondale R700 '95-er. This time it was a 63cm (24,8") tall bike frame. I wanted to make it Single Speed because I started riding SS more and more. The frame went somewhere in the garage and I did not looked for it for a long time. Last year I decided to make a fixie frame of it. But because the frame has vertical dropouts instead of horizontal dropout, I have to engineer something. The frame has a replaceable derailleur hanger so I thought let's design replaceable horizontal dropouts! So did I and the process I will show on the next blogs.
